The 30th annual Amelia Concours d’Elegance delivered yet another unforgettable weekend of historic automobiles, racing heritage, and refined luxury at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. Among the stunning vehicles on display, two remarkable icons took center stage, earning the coveted Best of Show awards: a 1938 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 and a 1967 Lotus 49. The RumbleSeat team was on the ground, soaking in the sights, engaging with fellow enthusiasts, and celebrating the very essence of automotive passion.

Concours d’Elegance: 1938 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 – A masterpiece of pre-war engineering, originally ordered by Italian racing champion Giuseppe Farina. This rare short-chassis prototype stood out with its stunning design and storied history.
Concours de Sport: 1967 Lotus 49 – A Formula 1 legend, this Lotus debuted with the revolutionary Cosworth DFV engine, securing victories with legendary drivers like Jimmy Clark and Mario Andretti.
Broad Arrow Auctions: Record-Breaking Sales
The Broad Arrow Auction, the official auction house of The Amelia, saw intense bidding wars, with the 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider Competizione topping the sales chart at $9,465,000. Other highlights included a 1971 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV and a 1954 Jaguar D-Type ‘OKV 2’ Works Competition, proving that demand for historic race and road cars remains stronger than ever.
