Account verification and what it unlocks
Verification confirms you're a real person, which keeps RumbleSeat free of bots, scams, and spam. It takes about a minute and unlocks the features that involve money or contact with others: creating club websites, listing vehicles, bidding on auctions, and contacting sellers. You'll see your status at the top of My Account → Profile, and you may be prompted to verify the first time you try one of those features.
You'll need a mobile phone number that can receive texts and a valid debit or credit card.
Steps
- Click your profile icon (bottom-left) → My Info, and click Get Started on the "Get verified" banner.
- Enter your mobile number, tap Send Code, enter the 6-digit code you receive, and tap Verify.
- Enter a valid debit or credit card to finish.
Tips & tricks
- Your card is only used to confirm you're real. Details are encrypted and tokenized by Stripe (a trusted payment provider) — RumbleSeat never sees or stores your full card number.
- Verify before you're in a hurry to bid; you don't want to be completing verification as an auction is ending.
Frequently asked
Will I be charged to verify? No. Verification confirms the card is valid; it isn't a payment.
I didn't get my text code. Double-check the number, wait a moment, and request a new code. Carrier delays are the usual cause.
