Create a car club
Creating a club gives you a full club website — forums, events, a member directory, and more — in a quick two-step wizard. A live configuration summary on the right updates as you go.
Steps
- In Car Clubs, click + Create Club (top right).
- Step 1 — Identity: enter your Car Club or Group Name (RumbleSeat checks availability) and a Description (minimum 50 characters). Click Continue to Setup.
- Step 2 — Setup:
- Brand color — used for buttons, links, and your banner (changeable later).
- Location — Local (city/metro/ZIP), Regional (multi-state), National, or International.
- Who can join — Public, By request, or Invite only.
- Category and Sub-category (required) — e.g. Social & Meetup Groups → Cars & Coffee.
- Collect and manage member information (optional) — add signup questions or admin-only fields.
- Click Create club. Your site goes live and you're guided to customize it, invite members, and post a first update.
Your club gets sections such as Home, Marketplace, Events, Directory, Registry, Roster, Forums, About, Gallery, Library, and Leadership. Owners and admins manage everything from the Control Panel (see Club Administration & Advanced).
Tips & tricks
- You can change almost everything later, so don't overthink Step 2 — get the club live, then refine the brand color and sections.
- Choosing By request gives you a nice middle ground: discoverable, but you approve who joins.
Frequently asked
Can I charge dues? Yes, but you set up paid membership types after creating the club, in the Control Panel (and you'll connect Stripe first). See Set up Stripe payments.
