Membership types are the plans members enroll in — free or paid, one-time or annual. This is where you define what membership costs and includes. Find it under Control Panel → Management → Membership.

The Membership sections

  • Club Location — your club's scope (Local, Regional, National, International).
  • Enrollment Option — Public, By request, or Invite only.
  • Membership Types — your dues plans (below).
  • Payment Fees — who covers processing fees (see Choose who pays the processing fees).
  • Member Information — signup questions and admin-only fields.

Create a membership type

  1. Under Membership Types, click Create Membership Type.
  2. Set the price (free, annual, lifetime, etc.) and options like sales tax, a grace period, and Associate add-ons.

Definition: Chapters

Chapters are regions, societies, or sub-groups within your club. Members join the main club first, then add chapters (free or paid) as add-ons at checkout. Chapter fees are tracked per chapter in Reports so you can distribute funds.

Tips & tricks

  • Offer a free tier plus a paid tier — the free tier grows your roster while paid dues fund the club.
  • A grace period keeps members active for a set window after a renewal is due, reducing accidental lapses.
