Choose who pays the processing fees
When your club collects money via Stripe, someone has to cover the processing fees. Payment Fees lets you decide whether the club absorbs them or passes them to members. Find it under Control Panel → Management → Membership → Payment Fees.
The two toggles
- Pass the credit card fee to members — 2.9% + $0.30, shown at checkout as a "Credit card surcharge." Recommended on.
- Pass the RumbleSeat platform fee to members — a 1% platform fee. Recommended on.
With both on, RumbleSeat costs your club nothing to run — members cover the fees and the full dues/event amount reaches you. Turn either off to absorb it from your payout instead (members never see it).
Tips & tricks
- Prefer clean, round pricing? Turn the fees off and bake them into your dues/event price instead — members see one number with no surcharge lines.
Frequently asked
Do these fees apply to free memberships? No — fees only apply to payments collected digitally through Stripe (paid memberships and paid event registrations).
