Car museums & collections in Ireland

Historic 17th-century estate near Drogheda whose motor collection was assembled by 1960s-70s racing driver Gabriel Konig (Gabriel De Freitas), featuring classic racing and rally saloons alongside other vintage cars, shown as part of guided estate tours.

Ireland's first dedicated veteran-car museum, opened in 1966 by collector Knollys Stokes at the Muskerry Arms Hotel in Blarney, displaying around 20 veteran cars from 1899-1920 including a rare 1900 Arrol-Johnston and a 1910 Wolseley-Siddeley formerly of the Gore-Booth family.

Rural-life museum housed in the farm courtyard buildings of Johnstown Castle Estate; alongside extensive farming and dairy machinery, its transport gallery includes vintage tractors, carts and a small number of period cars.

Ireland's only dedicated motorsport museum, housed at the Mondello Park racing circuit. It showcases the Martin Birrane Collection of historic Formula One, IndyCar, NASCAR and sportscar/touring racers assembled by the circuit's late owner and racer Martin Birrane.

Ireland's principal transport-heritage collection, holding roughly 170 vehicles including trams, buses, fire engines, military and utility vehicles spanning 1883-1984. Around 60 of the ~100 vehicles at the Howth site are on permanent display, with others viewable by prior arrangement.
