Car museums & collections in South Korea

Opened in March 2017 in Gyeongju's Bomun tourist district, this three-story museum traces about 130 years of global automotive history, from an early Benz Patent Motorwagen to modern supercars and Formula 1 cars.

Hyundai Motorstudio Busan occupies the former F1963 Kiswire wire-rope factory in Suyeong-gu and combines Hyundai design exhibitions with a library, workshop space, and restaurant. It opened in 2016 under the theme 'Design to Live By.'

Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang is a brand experience space operated by Hyundai Motor Company inside the KINTEX exhibition complex, showcasing current production and concept vehicles alongside design and mobility exhibits. It opened in 2018 as one of Hyundai's flagship domestic Motorstudio venues.

Hyundai Motorstudio Hanam is a Hyundai-operated design and mobility exhibition space located on the first floor of the Starfield Hanam shopping mall. It displays current Hyundai models, concept vehicles, and design-themed exhibits that rotate periodically.

Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul in Apgujeong is Hyundai's flagship brand experience center, reopened in September 2025 after a full renovation spanning five floors, including an auto-themed library and a floor dedicated to the Hyundai N performance brand.

Located inside Hyundai Motor Group's Namyang R&D Center in Hwaseong, this internal museum opened in 2007 and displays roughly 20 historic Hyundai and Kia vehicles with around 190 more held in storage.

Kia360 is Kia's flagship brand experience center in Apgujeong, Seoul, built around a 360-degree track-shaped layout with zones for brand and design storytelling, EV experiences, and a Kia User & Heritage Zone that digitally recreates the brand's history.

Located at Renault Korea's Busan assembly plant, this factory gallery opened as the Renault Samsung Culture Center in 2001 and was renamed in 2006. It displays cutaway SM7/QM5 vehicle and engine models plus historic Renault Samsung/Renault Korea production cars.

Operated by Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance near Everland in Yongin, this was Korea's first automobile museum and reopened under its current name in August 2023 with an expanded scope covering cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and horse-drawn carriages. The collection totals more than 700 pieces, including a BMW 507 roadster and a 1958 Porsche Speedster.

Opened in April 2008 in Seogwipo, this privately owned museum was Asia's first private automobile collection and later added Korea's first piano museum in 2019. The automobile collection includes more than 100 Korean-made vehicles alongside international classic and sports cars.
